National Holiday in U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico - PR "discovered" on this day in 1493 by Christopher Columbus, who first named it Isle of St. John the Baptist. Oddly, this island was already occupied by the Taíno people, who mysteriously disappeared soon after being discovered.
