Wicca and the Universal Life Church

The Universal Life Church is a legally recognized California church.  Since 1962, ULC has been ordaining ministers around the world.  Our ministers are authorized to perform all peaceful rites and ceremonies of the church, including legal marriages (hand fasting).

The Universal Life Church includes all peaceful people.  We have a very simple doctrine:  "Do only that which is right."    As long as it does not infringe on the rights of others, we understand that it is the right and responsibility of the individual to peacefully determine what is right.  We are about religious freedom, which includes freedom from church authority as well as that of government.

The Universal Life Church includes people from all spiritual traditions and paths.   We do not exclude anyone.  Our ministers include Pagan, Neo-pagan, Wiccan, Christian, Buddhist, Taoist, Hindu, Jew and many others whose individual beliefs do not neatly conform to the teachings of any other church.  Our doctrine enables us to welcome all, and for all people to peacefully share in fellowship and spirituality, regardless of how divergent our paths may be!

Anyone may become ordained, for free, for life, and without question of faith.  In fact, we understand that you are already ordained!  However, the government requires an ordination process.  We provide the required structure, while enabling you to peacefully pursue your spiritual path without the restrictions and limitations normally placed on ministers by their churches!

Since its inception, the Universal Life Church has maintained permanent, verifiable records of our ministers, which is a vital function of the church.
