Hello everyone,

I am Alexander DeMaio, a recently newly ordained minister of the Universal Life Church in Modesto, California. I was originally going to be ordained through ULC Monastery in Seattle, Washington, because of their newer site, lawsuits to protect the 1st amendment right in the US, and their support of multiple charities. I eventually decided to support the mother church because I felt ULC Monastery is too commercialized, tries to play off their own rocky history, and the instant ordination feature put me off. ULC in Modesto is authorized by a real person at HQ which makes the ordination feel more valid to me. I have done lots of research regarding the origins of ULC along with its founder Rev. Kirby J. Hensley. I want to be an historian regarding the ULC, and I have found some sources regarding such.

I am not sure over the validity of these two sources but they contain lots of information including testimonies from the current president, Rev. Andre Hensley. Anyway I hope that we all keep the forum alive by continuing to be active or else ULC will be just a store rather than a church.

If anyone has any sources of more information regarding the history please put it in this thread, I am interested in learning all I can. Peace be with you!

Welcome Alexander. Wish you well on your endeavor. Should be interesting to see another take on the ULC being brought to page.

Enjoyed the links, btw.
