☺️☺️Hello everyone, I'm interested in religions, and I really want to know the difference between Buddhism and Christianity. I know they're very different in dress and diet, but please give me more information about other aspects. Many thanks.

At the risk of being simplistic, it is the focus.

The Buddha was a man, who discovered the Path to enlightenment.  It is not the Buddha which is important.  It is the Path which is important.

By contrast, in Christianity, the Christ is the Path.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

That's sounds great!

Then we can continue.

The Buddha began with certain basic questions.  Why do we suffer?  What is the nature of suffering?  For now, we can set aside the answers to these questions.

By contrast, the Christ is about the Path to God.  A very different goal.

I should add that I am neither Buddhist nor Christian.  These are only the most basic of distinctions.

Not really.  These are the most basic distinctions, to me, as I understand them.  If you ask Christians, or Buddhists, what they think are the most important distinctions, you will get other answers.

Remember.  Buddhism and Christianity come in many flavors.  There is much diversity of opinion.

If you go to the Monotheist section of this board, you will encounter some Christian voices.  Have a caution.  There are thousands of different varieties of Christian.  Nobody speaks for all of them.

Thanks.

And just as Jonathan says about there being "thousands of different varieties of Christian' and "nobody speaks for all of them", remember, too, that some voices are ever louder than others, but that does not make them right, nor the softer voices being wrong.
