Topic Access Problems

Recommended Posts

I'm getting alot of database and SQL server errors preventing me from viewing topics. I could not access the forum at all last night. Error message example- "Warning: mysqli_query(): (HY000/2013): Lost connection to MySQL server during query in /home/ulcnet/public_html/forum/ips_kernel/classDbMysqliClient.php on line 234"

Yeah, they did some "optimizing" of the web server the other day, which crashed the database.

They said they fixed it, but I'm not sure they fixed it all the way.

I'm working on it now.

Thank you, murphzlaw1. I hope you are doing well, both with the software and with yourself.

I'm doing okay, thank you.

I believe I have fixed the issues (I ran an upgrade), so please let me know if there are still issues that persist.

I'm still seeing some issues like mererdog stated above, even after the upgrade... I'm also totally unable to access some topics.

I still think it's database related, so Kevin and I and the host will have to fight that out.

On it, might take a bit.

Not sure if this is related to the "optimization" or not, but since they did that last optimization I am no longer seeing off to the right hand side of the screen under the calendar the list of the 5 or 6 (not sure the exact number that were listed) newest topics or the newest status updates that were there before.
