Grammer and spelling is a form of witch craft

i remember a story i read in school that most english men thought grammer was percieved as witchcraft and it was the devil work . as the story went that if some one got caught percieving another writing upon there page and corrected their grammer it was percieved as a crime as i read tis story i didn't realize i was reading my uncles writing which i inherited as i write here i do not c the problem rev tim i c the aspect of cruel not my prob no one think it is readable as i write as a reminder we didn't create writing god did and he created us as we are in his image as a person who yes a survivor i don't see abuse i know abuse my writing can't be that bad when i won 60 award for my free thought abstract writing . thinking u don't use punctuation u use thought . i cannot stand know it alls no one knows it all only god does so keep picking i m right

As in came to my attention you all assume my abstract writing is wrong well as foryou that like it i thank u for you all that don't i don't care .u c i am the one who has to live w myself and therefore i do what i want even tho some of u cannot stand my writing style

instead of reading w an open mind u read w a closed mind as the way u were taught. i was taught the same but u should see my teachers faces when i was tested and the examiner told the teachers they ate teaching wrong . it was great and. my one teacher taught me to be open minded .not close .if you all can't read it learn it

show respect don't hate .

I.am many forms of survivor of bullying teaseing is the beginning and code red is the end . i got code red the last year of my high school .

no matter what i am dealing w in life i always have time for my family and friends. for instance. my friend needed me i was so sick but no matter how i felt i ran to her and help her out and no matter how i get teased or belittle on here i am there and here for my family . and friends always i started this thread for two reasons one is to define the hate people have for low income people on ssdi ssi welfare and the unfortunate seniors . but i got more than i bargain for on here which is ok because it showed the hate i describe any one low income or poor i feel for . but using this thread for a defence of ignorance is not what i bargain for i assume that everyone will or won't agree to this but i ll say it any way look back on this thread look and see that i tried to help some not w my writing but my experience . but i get dumped on by critiques that don't know what they are. understanding . really come on now any one can as long as their minds are open . which w my experience people from the background i am from does but still we get a few weeds i gotta dig out so to speak and these folks on here making fun of my writing is not only cyber bullying but hate depict unto one individual because of various reasons of their own suit .and standards of nom for seen intelligence that they can devolop if they keep an open mind

Lordie, please get back on topic. And let's be honest here: I am a WITCH. I use proper grammar and spell things correctly because I like being understood by whomever has the opportunity to read my words.

As I previously stated: if a person is bragging on Facebook about having bought an iPhone, I only see that as a problem if that person spent their welfare money to purchase the aforementioned iPhone. If they spent their income tax refund to invest in a popular cell phone that just might last more than a year, more power to them. I hope their bills are caught up.

Yes. It is ok. People are entitled to their emotions.

If Lordie wants to be understood, Lordie needs to write so that Lordie can BE understood.

Communication is a cooperative process. I cannot force you to understand me. You have to put effort in, too. If understanding me requires more effort than you are willing to put in, I will not be understood. Am I wrong if do not limit my vocabulary and syntax for the sake of being understood by those with less fluency, or are they wrong for failing to learn to read what I right? In my opinion, trying to place blame in a such a circumstance is simply an exercise in ego-tripping.

That is simple base prejudice. It is every bit as stupid as assuming that a man is a thief, simply because he is black.

If Lordie is as educated as Lordie claims, why can't Lordie understand that? Becasue Lordie sees enemies and hatred wherever Lordie goes.

Perhaps if you stopped talking about her in that way, you would stop giving her the impression that you are attempting to publicly humiliate her. Because that is exactly how you are coming across to me.

I'm done. Lordie can go on being Lordie. I just refuse to give credence to unintelligent writting anymore.

Not only is there an ignore function in the forum settings, but it is fairly easy to simply skip over any text with an offending person's name attached to them. There is no need to announce that you are doing it. In fact, announcing that you are doing it only serves to act as a personal attack. If you didn't mean your words to be an attack, please understand that is exactly how your words will seem to most people.

but anyway back to the question at hand as in welfare and iphones .

iphones are not that expensive. 50 dollars for one at the dollar store mine last for about 5 years not matter what type of phone i get they last .but the people who pick on welfare having a phone no one understands it is savimg money how u say by combining internet w phone which seperate is extremely expensive . as here in pa no one cam qualify for free net so have to pay over 100 a month in the net alone and those are the seniors which i feel bad for .some don't qualify for a safelink phone others do but don't know how or what to apply . i tried to help seniors w this but it is hard for them mostly they cannot see well so i continue to show them my. theory is hand the seniors the phones and net for nothing they deserve it. and it is their right that it seems no one gets it is sad

Yes, Mererdog, your assessment of my actions are off-base, as are Lordie's. That's why I stopped trying to help and ENDED THE CONVERSATION.

And I will continue to assume someone is uneducated if that's how they write, because it's NOT the same as assuming someone's a thief just because they're black. I would never assume someone is a thief because of skin color, and you should be ashamed of yourself for playing the race card just like every other scared sheeple American instead of thinking for yourself. Writting style can be an indication of education, but skin color does NOT indicate whatsoever one's propensity for theft. And of COURSE communication is cooperative. That's why grammar and punctuation and all those other rules we are taught in school exists, so we don't have a Tower of Babel situation.

And Lordie, where are YOU buying iPhone for $50? The lowest I've ever seen ANY iPhone is $450 FROM STRAIGHT TALK.

There are cheaper phones that one could get ahold of that don't dig into one's Welfare check, if that's what they use.

I agree that we as a people shouldn't just assume someone with an iPhone and Welfare is scamming the system. But you got to admit, it looks very suspicious.......

PS, thanks, Lordie, for using "witch" in a sarcastic and derogatory manner, no one has done that to you, so I'd appreciate you not do that to MY WIFE.

It is interesting that there are those here preaching to us that communication is a two way street and we must try our best to understand gibberish from a professed educated person with hi IQ when that same person has made no effort whatsoever to understand where some of us are coming from. I am now finished with this entire topic even if the conversation returns to its topic.

Not really. What creates ease of understanding is familiarity, not adherence to rules. Following set rules makes it easier to create familiar patterns, but those rules are not necessary for it to happen. This is proven by the fact that we are all able to communicate fairly effectively long before we know about things like grammar, simply because of our innate ability to parrot our parents.

chicken egg problem. The familiar patterns form the rules. We didn't invent the language, it evolved. the protocols are a function of the language. The specifics of Grammar are an attempt to trap the evolutionary process. The mind is pretty good as sussing out the intent of a message even when the protocols are breached, but it is a distraction.

I can't speak for others, but, here, you mis -characterize my position. I think. I don't think your abstract writing is wrong. I think it is difficult to read and distracting.

I also agree very much with that sentiment and suggest this be the end of the "writing style" debate. At this point I feel the best all Members can do is either return to the topic of Misconceptions of Welfare Fraud or expand on the effects of it, but please, let's stop the banter and side tracking. It is beginning to show a rather poor light on many of the Membership.

I will suggest to the Section Moderator that the topic be closed if folks can not remain civil with each other. It's a shame it has to come to this once again on a sensitive topic.

Welfare

I feel sorry for our seniors that is on welfare because they cannot make it on social security

It is ashame they deserve better

Each seniors did something build this world

But they dont get the rights they deserve

I think we should show our respect to our elders and give them money to live off of as well as a phone and internet .

They deserve that much

After all they built this world we just live in it

And when we get old we can say we honored our elders .

And on disabilty welfare or ssi .no one makes much

On that so when try to save money they get blown off or some one takes advantage of them or the system .which is worse . My ex got free apartment

For a year free phone and cable .after he got kick out .he works making 200 a week while drawing ssi . So thats not fair to those trying to get disablity or even those on it . . My mom cant get a free phone and she tried they said she made too much at 495 dollars a month . The system only picks and chooses whom they want to get free stuff or help which is ridiculous .and when a welfare to work reciepient goes to work they loose their medicaid even tho they make the same amount as they did on welfare .i think that is just stupid .and a disabled goes to work ( in some states) they loose either their check or their housing .because they make a dollar over .thats not right neither

I think instead of giving stuff away like the welfare system gave my ex they should look and see if that person is legit

All these problems that you mention happen because the government is not the proper place to turn to if you want to fix your life. The primary task the government was designed for is to wage war. This is the template for all the other departments grafted onto government. Hence the war on drugs, the war on poverty, etc. The progressives saw the first two world wars as marvelous examples of organizing to solve social problems. Their success is such that even a cut to the increase in spending on these programs will send us careening right back to where we started. Making it seem that they have made no progress at all. The problem of poverty is still as bad as ever, as is the drug problem. On poverty alone we are spending enough money to give each man woman or child in poverty a check for almost $290 each week. But the bulk of the money never ends up in the hands of the poor. Instead it helps fund the paychecks of those who live in the wealthiest counties in the country, those that ring Washington DC.

  • promote the general Welfare, and

do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

waging war was one of 6 items listed for the formation of the federal governement. Not even the first. Governing efforts are patterned after a war theme because the war theme tends to stir motivation, not to justify their existence.

Providing for the common defense and securing the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity is NOT waging war. It is PREPARING for war, should anything threaten us. Yes, this does mean, occassionally, having to actually wage war, but that is not the ultimate goal.

That's all well on paper, but do not confuse what was written, with how our founding fathers acted, or what they individually intended. The army existed long before the Constitution, and was reassembled within a year of the ratification of the Constitution in order to enforce tax collection and to protect its tax collectors. It failed at the former mainly because there were not enough tax collectors.

The Constitution was written to replace the Articles of Confederation for two specific reasons to have a centrally controlled military and to collect taxes so the the central government could effectively act. The need for these was brought out by Shay's Rebellion and by foreign states seeking to divide and conquer the confederation.

At the beginning of the national government it existed as an extension of the state governments and as a means for them to act together. It was not intended by most of the signers to replace the state governments. A state meant a separate country. We were the United Countries of America.

Hamilton was the main architect of the end of individual state power. His frustration with the decentralized nature of the Continental Congress during his time in the military in the revolutionary war brought him to seek a more militarily efficient centralized government. His contributions to our constitution were meant to create a centralized mercantile empire like England at the time. We are lucky Aaron Burr put a musket ball in him. The states were not finally subdued until Lincoln fifty years later in a war to collect taxes. It Hamilton had lived another twenty years and accomplished more of his political machinations the "Civil" war would have never happened, and slavery would still have ended as it did elsewhere without military action. The tariffs alone, if collected, would have crushed the plantations and ended slavery, or they could have been seized, paid for and freed by the national government. The only reason for the war was to solidify a centralized government and eliminate state power to oppose it.
