Drugging Dreams

Whose idea this was,

I think I know,

To drug the dreams

Of children so.

It takes some doing,

(Oh yes, it does!)

But a nice fat check

Will quiet the buzz.

"This drug will help you

Get over your loss."

"This drug will help you

Deal with your boss."

"This pill makes you learn

So much better."

"This one will help you

Unscramble the letters."

All kids have dreams

That they hope to achieve.

Some never will -

For they were deceived.

The children are

The ones we defend.

Spread the word:

Make psychiatry end!

I hope this poem is one you will send

And all of your friends.
