Dorian Gray
Why is the forum using off site hosts for some avatars? <li class='avatar'><a href="http://ulc.net/forum/index.php?showuser=11626" title="View Profile"><img src='http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/00f0091a67fce48d5fe701100ce5332b?d=http%3A%2F%2Fulc.net%2Fforum%2Fpublic%2Fstyle_avatars%2Fblank_avatar.gif' alt='' /></a></li>src='http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/bc9810581c88e83d2a148e3592b8df89?d=http%3A%2F%2Fulc.net%2Fforum%2Fpublic%2Fstyle_avatars%2Fblank_avatar.gif' alt='' /></a></li>
Administrator murphzlaw1 Posted July 22, 2009 Administrator Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 would you be willing to narrow that big thing down to where I can see what sites the links are redirecting to? which user? that looks like an entire thread. ah. okay, I see now. Yes. Gravatars is a site that ...basically, they are universal avatars. you can put that in, and it will show the same avatar at all sites.
Dorian Gray
Ok, after waiting no kidding 10 mins for the "fast" reply to open, yep that is a tread page, and i know what gravatar.com is, but that doesnt explain why the forum software's default image is linked to that instead of internally. Administrator murphzlaw1 Posted July 22, 2009 Administrator Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 removed the option to allow users to use Gravatars. Appears to have removed the gravatar setting for the thread in question.
Dorian Gray
I only realized it because i have ulc.net as a trusted site, so i got a pop-up warning for just about every thread I opened saying that gravatar was trying to load from my trusted site. Administrator murphzlaw1 Posted July 22, 2009 Administrator Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 are you still getting that pop up warning?
Dorian Gray
havent yet, but the "fast reply" is still REALLY slow.
