Tibetan Prayer Flags

Recommended Posts

Yesterday, I made some prayer flags out of some felt squares my wife had leftover from a school project. Of course they are not really prayer flags, and I did not have the prescribed colors one should use, but they were made and are displayed with genuine feeling. The idea is that the wind carries the prayers throughout the world and touches others.

I like that idea. I do not know what colors should be used (first I heard of prayer flags),

but the fact that the flags were made with feeling and your prayers is what I would say is

more important.

Thank you for sharing this.

I have a small group of them I purchased that are allegedly from Tibet. I hung them across my gong and I really like them. Instead of the wind carrying the prayers I feel the vibrations from my gong have the same effect.
