Shakespeare, Robert Graves, Robert A. Heinlein, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Andre Norton, Robert Sheckeley (sp?), and quite possibly (after I've devoured a few more of his works) Joseph Campbell

Joseph Campbell is one of the most eloquent speakers and I love his PBS specials but his books are skull drudgery for me to try and read through.

Agreed they can be somewhat trying, but I've always loved one of his quotes:

Computers are like Old Testament gods; lots of rules and no mercy.

Wow. What a question...

Who hasn't influenced my work? Clarke, Heinlein, Herbert, Tad Williams, Scott Hamilton, Barker, Lovecraft, King. I've only recently started working with horror inspired poetry. Most of my writes are social/spiritual commentary, love poems(really?), nature observations and works in abstract imagery.
