  1. Today I updated my profile to reflect that I have become a Certified Death Doula and a Death Companioning Initiate this year.  I truly feel called to help care for those at the end of life as they transition out of this mortal world as well as help care for the family and friends during the transition and after.

The graveside service I officiated last November went beautifully and truly made my calling clearer to me.

Yes I will still happily do weddings, handfastings, baptisms, wiccanings, and house blessings - but I feel called to be there and help at the end of life. So many people fear death and all the uncertainty that seems to come along with it.  I want to help ease some of the fear and grief as best as I possibly can.

  2. Fast forward a few months and someone has reached out asking me to officiate her Mother's graveside service at the end of the month. It will be an honor to do so.

  3. Sadly, what was supposed to be my first wedding to officiate, has turned out to be nothing but a scam. It's all in the hands of my local police department now. But I'm feeling used, confused, and sad over the whole thing. I truly hope and pray that the next couple that asks me to officiate will be a truly legit couple.

Have any of you had an experience with a scam? How did it turn out for you?
