  1. Try getting to the moon with something old :)

Knowing me, I'd prolly want to use what they first went to the moon in, rather than some type of modernized metal. I'm telling ya, most newer things lack quality in a big way. Sad, it's truely sad. But that's just me. People tell me I'm old fashioned. Go figure! :) Blessings!

  2. Not reallly true for me but I want to welcome you to the forum.

Would you break down your name so I can see how it should be pronounced?

There absolutely are spirits that cannot be seen by the human eye around and they have powers that humans cannot comprehend. Perhaps because they cannot feel the spirits they disavow them out of ignorance or fear.

Thank you for the welcome! To say my name, try this: as-das-ee-ay. I agree with you that there are spirits that have power that is not human related. I also believe that humans can learn how to see or feel or hear spirits if they aproach the task with an open mind. I have.

Wicca is a composite of ancient practices, but the statement made was that it was an Ancient Religion and I was merely pointing out the fact that it is not. I am confident that almost every belief system on the planet can lay claim to being born of Ancient Practices, so that statement does nothing to validate or raise any belief system above any other. In my eyes it would do the opposite.....when I buy a new tool or communication device I want something that is the latest technology, so I can communicate in the most effective manner, not something our primate ancestor banged on trees with.

As our ways of communication evolved so did our humanity and as we learn to communicate our emotions and thoughts to others even more effectively in the further we will evolve even further from the unsophisticated brutes that we were and are now.

So when communicating with the Divine I want to explore new avenues of direct communication with the Divine and those other sentient beings around me, not tap on rocks with sticks. Does anyone really want to use an "ANCIENT" typewriter to talk with anyone these days?!?!?!!

I would, if I knew the mailing system would be around for it. Sadly, I think actually being able to "mail" a letter is going out of business. :(

As to your statement about Wicca being new. It is new, completely. But witchcraft and other practices that are now being adapted into Wicca have been around for much, much longer! Sometimes, old things and old ways are much better than anything modern can do. I am finding that older things have much better quality than some of the newer things. For instance, I have a car that was built in 1992. No, it doesn't have a navi system, can't park itself and doesn't have onstar. But I am a simpler being and I find that I don't really need all of those thrills to be happy with what I have, what I learn or how I learn it. Blessings!

  3. How is Wicca an ancient religion?!?!?! 1950 isn't that long ago. It is a modern pagan religion developed in England in the 50's and 60's by Gerald Gardner

Wicca is not an ancient religion. It is the practices adopted into it that are ancient and go back to before existance was recorded. For instance, Shamanism, Energy work, I could go on and on.

  4. I am confused. How do you clear your mind of all thoughts and emotions and then begin imagining yourself doing anything? When I meditate, I first form a question I need answered or a request of the Divine and then I clear my mind of all thoughts and become one with my Source and Strength. While in meditation, I have no thoughts.

Awesome question. Within each of our minds is a screen and a voice. One needs to blank and the other needs to be silent in order for the thought processes needed to start astral projection to be pure. The purer the thought, the easier it will be.

  5. I could only see myself taking anothers life in an extreme situation. As to whether or not I would kill if it were no longer illigal; I don't think I posess the mentality or phsycologicalness in which to handle doing something like that. I am human enough to want to with certain people; but it will never be an action I do outright. Legal or not.

  6. We hear things about being tolerant is a good thing! Intolerance is bad. But it seems being intolerant of intolerance is ok.

    http://www.cnn.com/2...?iref=obnetwork

So where we have the facts of this case (as presented in the article):

    1. The program is open to any group that makes the commitment and can be revoked by the state for lack of action.

    2. A group traditionally known for its intolerance is attempting to become a part of the program.

    3. No members of the group (at least for now or that is known, least that would have been reported) have been convicted of a hate crime.

    4. This particular chapter is billing itself as the "white" version of the NAACP.

    5. There is another state that the courts ruled that they cannot be denied membership in the program

    ======================================

This all leads to the philosophical debate:

How is it best to defeat intolerance?

Is meeting intolerance with more intolerance the answer?

Does tolerating intolerance undermine the goals of tolerance?

Is advocating "tolerance" while purposefully being intolerant of a groups belief's hypocrisy?

"I support tolerance, but only if you think like me" is this really tolerance?

    Please discuss.

I think that it is not really tolerance to say that you support tolerance only if someone were to think the same of you. As it is a contradictive statement, I would think that the person making it has some issues. As to the rest of it, my opinion is quite simple. You are either tolerant of something or you are not. To me, there is no inbetween with tolerance, and if you try; it brings you into a convoluted state of being. I try to stay away from such instances myself. Blessings!

  7. I have been able to do Astral Projection for awhile now. When I started with it many years ago, I was told to lie down in a quiet spot, meditate your mind so that it is completely clear and void of all thoughts and emotions. Pull all of your concentration and energy into feeling the world around you with your eyes closed. Feel every inch. Go through every limb if you have to. Then imagine yourself as light as a feather. It has always worked for me. I know that there are multiple ways of doing it, you just have to find what method is right for you. Then you will be able to have better control over when it happens, where you go and what you remember. Blessings!

  8. I am a medium of sorts. I do a lot of work for and with the entities beyond the Veil. I don't have any one specific Guide when I am there. I love and respect those that are there and they do the same for me. I've had a healthy relationship with those beyond the Veil for a great number of years. I am your basic spiritualist, healer and medium. I use Tarot (both Shamanic and Regular), Runes, Automatic Writing, and Astral Projection. I don't follow any certain path for this ability. I just do as I can in order to do what I must.
