  1. I was ordained in 2001, after the death of my father. It was in reaction to not feeling part of the church and dogma of my upbringing. I like what the ULchurch stands for and that it allows a couple to be married via an officiant who is receptive to their unique spirituality. This is important to me because when my ex-husband and I were married we had to jump through hoops and kiss priest butt to be allowed to get married in my church since we were of different Christian faiths.
