  2. The UK forum has been asleep for sometime now. Tribal has gone. I blame Facebook. Things ain't the same sadly.
  3. \o Pete long time no see. Is the UK forum as quiet as this one? I agree. The Zionists are also adrift from scripture Psalm 34: 14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
  4. 1 Timothy 1:12

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service,

  6. According John Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world. My question is how is it that many evangelical Christians are supporting a genocide of the Palestinian people whilst directly knowing this is not going to be the place of God's kingdom. Surely murder was never in the teachings of Jesus. Even if you see the Palestinians as an enemy Jesus said you should love your enemy. Mass killing and slaughter of thousands of a people was never in Jesus' teachings and not a sign of love.
  7. That's usful, but not what I was asking. The DNS is used behind the scenes to translate the alphabtic address (eg ulc.net) into an IP address (eg 173.231.213.56) which is needed to tell the network where to find the site. It's the internet equivalent of a phone book. There are many DNS providers, who should give the same result. Some will also track what you are visiting, some use plain text, some allow encryption. Since you use Chrome, you are probably going via Google, or one set by your service provider. It looks like you have found the problem without getting into that (more info at https://www.steves-internet-guide.com/dns-guide-beginners/), but it is worth checking at some point if you are at all concerned about security.
  8. I used your link. Ulchq.com That worked. It took me to the Modesto hq. Foolish me. I had been using ulchq.net - which the Monastery uses to drive business to their site. Dirty, dirty. Just one problem. The authentic hq site in Modesto still thinks it's 2006. I'm glad I found it again. I grieve that it's 18 years out of date.
  9. I've only ever used ulc.net before. Both https://www.ulchq.com/ and https://ulchq.com/ work fine for me in the UK, using Cloudflare DNS. Who is your DNS provider? They may have it wrong.
  10. I don't want to jump to conclusions. The Monastery seems to be in control of the HQ website. This automatic transfer to the .org website is going to seriously confuse people. How long has this been going on? Why did I have to find out? I think someone in administration is asleep at the switch.
  11. Hey, I just tried sending a message to Brother Kevin, to see if he can tell us anything. If I hear back, I will let you know. Strange....
  12. I'm still here. Current Events: I tried to visit the HQ website. ULCHQ.NET I get transferred to the Monastery. Does anybody know what is going on?
  13. When I type in ulchq.net - I get transferred to the Monastery. Try it yourself. I find it disturbing. I would like to know what is happening to my church.
  14. I backed away from the forums in 2016-ish. But I still visit sometimes.
  15. Happy New Year to you. What happened to the HQ website? It seems to have been taken over by the Monastery.
  16. I don't think people are getting dumber. I think it's more exposure to the stupidity of complete strangers via much more information dissemination. The Internet shows us what we've always done but most people rarely encountered. Especially small town people.
  17. I've done some pretty stupid things myself on occasion, and I'm allegedly much smarter than your average bear. I don 't think humans are a particularly smart species. The example you give seems to match a pattern which I think may be increasing, though. I see a growing tendancy for people to look for external causes and solutions to their problems rather than do ing something themselves. Not having a key fails to even trigger "why not?" or "how can I get one?", the default behaviour is "make enough fuss and 'someone' will fix it".
  18. People have been stupid, crazy and weird long before we got here. I really don't think this is anything new. Not even all that unusual. My memories are full of stupid stuff I've seen.
  19. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how stupid people are becoming, not so much of these fantasy bubbles people are locking themselves in but the intelligence I today am questioning, for example, a person lives alone in an apartment block and has done for months, but I does not have a key for the main doors and stands there kicking and shouting at the doors for hours till someone is coming in or out then the idiot can enter the building.
  20. It's good to see that you're still around. For the rest, I have embraced Agnostic Apatheism. Despite the complete lack of evidence, Some version of God could possibly exist. I don't know and I don't worry about it. It's not important and it's not worth arguing about. Jonathan
